Make use of your furniture and accessories to make a bold statement within a contemporary style interior.
Less is always more. Contemporary style does not run to ruffles, carved details, fringes and floral prints. There’s nothing cute or small about the contemporary. Go with the 3 ‘B’s - bold, bare, basic topped with structural.
Keep your floors bare wood, vinyl or tile; no ritzy carpets and chintz! Color comes from plain or geometrically patterned rugs.

The furniture itself should have clean, smooth, geometric shapes that are absolutely essential for contemporary style furniture pieces.
