Google Tools That Can Save You Time

Wasting time is probably worse than wasting money, because you can usually get the money back. With time, once it's gone, that's it. Few things in life are more frustrating than having to wait for a computer program or website. Fortunately, Google has a number of free tools available to save you time. Two terrific Google tools are Picasa and Google Checkout.

Picasa is a free download from Google that does the digital equivalent of rummaging through a shoebox full of photos, organizing them, and showing them to friends and family. Once you download Picasa, it automatically finds all the photos on your computer and gets to work organizing them. And it synchronizes your desktop albums and web albums. If you add a picture of your cat to a desktop album, poof! It gets put in your web album too.

Google Check-out is great so you don't have to keep entering all your personal data at every new site you want to shop at. It acts as a go-between for you and sites you've never bought from, giving you another layer of reassurance that you are protected against fraud. And if you're a seller and sign up, Google Check-out can help you convert more sales, and on guaranteed orders you'll get paid, even if a sale results in a chargeback.

Google has a lot of time-saving tools that you can download for free. Because you have much better things to do with your time than wait on yet another server or web page.
