The Smarter Way To Create Mass Authority

My friends, I can't stop talking about this subject and how critical it in actual fact is with a view to develop your professional mass authority related on your occupation. He would maybe not even tell me what sort of projects he is working on-and that is the guy who used to borrow money from me when we went to Ohio State and he had no money to go to the Gallery Hop and Mean Mister Mustards!! But that is okay because when he goes to Vegas for professional conventions, or to Berlin, Germany he always brings me cool free stuff. The details: His former company is paying him a monthly check of $1200 a month to retain their newly launched corporate blog and the blog looks very similar to his own Wordpress blog-not bad deal for those who ask me since he does nearly all of his work inside the morning after breakfast and has the remainder of the day to conduct his own research and play along with his baby son. Make no bones about it, He is still searching for research work with a company as a way to give him the staff, new location and unlimited budget to discover what he has been taken with for the past a couple of years. I'm confident you are going to be reading about this guy in Time magazine person of the year or Scientific Usa very soon. He wants to have his own laboratory facilities and conduct engineering research for companies here in Ohio and across the nation. He has gone freelance along with his skill set and contacts, something I have been harking to him to do and to many professionals that have contemplated launching their own consulting careers. You simply have to gather the self-confidence and courage to stand your doubters, and your family about your new personal marketing strategy. My good friend didn't want me to reveal his identity, his former employer which isn't an engineering firm, or the kind of engineering he makes a speciality of but believe me he used to be paid well with bonuses when he was employed by his Ohio employer, such that he has no mortgage and he has recently purchased a run-down convenience store, gutted-it and renovated it into a tiny, tiny research laboratory. If you are a professional, not necessarily within the hard sciences, but it is usually any profession, and you've got at least 10 years of professional experience , it is easy to start an industry specific blog like my friend did 5 years ago. It used to be his personal blog -just for fun-but which drew clients inadvertently to his former employer and a lot of big global clients read it, something his former employer refused to admit. He was answerable for half of their research revenue in 2008, a combative issue that led to him leaving his job. But in 2008 we were still suffering from the full affect of the global financial meltdown and his company claimed that it used to be bleeding money in other divisions of its global empire and asserted that they may not pay him 3 times his salary which he used to be asking for[ something like $110,000 * 3= $330,000-even though the CEO made a stock holder approved bonus of 7 figures!!! So he left and exercised his stock options, I would have.. The point is, blogging is a powerful tool if done strategically to add more value for your professional status. You could be a new hire of only 2 years at the job, or middle management but when you have professional "MASS AUTHORITY" on the web , you can also be the most recognizable person for your company and not your boss. I think that is why my friend's employer used to be happy to let him go. He was once becoming THE company. Because clients were asking for him, not the division he worked in but for him-"that guy with the blog-you know, that guy!". Upper management and your individual company's shriveled or in-house Public Relations don't know what have an effect on an industry focused blog has now or what impact this will have later. It's a powerful promotion tool to showcase your talents among your peer group and future clients and employers who aren't only located in Ohio but across the world who are perplexed over the similar problems and need solutions which you describe for your blog. The greatest power of the blog over a static web page is that your readers can participate to your conversation with them-they can post comments!, they feel connected on your thoughts they usually become followers of your RSS feeds, podcasts, videos and downloadable PDF publications that you've for your blog. When you are at home now with no job and desperately searching for a job in Ohio or somewhere else. In case you have an Ohio job and you might be worried about job security… Why not fill your down-time with more intellectual pursuits in order to take your stress away from accepting that your spouse is now supporting you, or that you can also be let go of your position for redundancy-make yourself invaluable! Work on your blog, it's 2010 a new year. Use my friends example and create another kind of job security that you regulate, start an industry specific blog and slowly cultivate MASS AUTHORITY.
