Market Research and Your Niche

You should talk with some local bankers who make loans to help you do your market research. These bankers are familiar with similar businesses in the area and might be able to tell you how well businesses like yours are doing.

There may be plenty of room for your specialization, and it might just help you target your potential customers much more accurately.
 
To help you determine your niche, you must look at who your competition is. What are they doing right? What could you do better? What's the competition failing to do that you may be able to do?
 
The market research that you conducted to determine whether there'd be demand for your how can I make easy money business may have already exposed the strengths and weaknesses of the competition. If not, you can size up the competition by becoming a consumer yourself and sampling what's out there. For example, suppose you want to start a residential cleaning service. Social Networking-One Highly-Favored form of Free Advertising

Although taking advantage of free advertising can be somewhat time consuming it is also very inexpensive. Not only that, but it is also one of the most effective forms of advertising-believe it or not.
 
Think of it this way. Which person would you most likely be willing to buy from? Someone you have spoken to personally or someone of who you have no personal knowledge of whatsoever? Would you rather purchase a product or service from someone you have spoken to personally or respond to an impersonal ad displayed by a company may not even know?
 
Free advertising is one way that many small business owners have started out. Think back to the old days. Many business owners simply found sales leads by mingling with other friends, other business associates, and with neighbors.
 
The above example of promotion is commonly known as networking. In can also be called social networking, which is a buzz term used to describe online forum, blog, and friend communities. In fact, online social networking and business networking happens in a very similar way as offline social and business networking.
 
The advantage of this type of advertisement is that it is not really advertising at all. You an talk to people and socialize with them and they may not even realize you are advertising.
 
Most of the time free advertising via social networking works in the following way:
You are talking to an online friend, either by way of a friend e-mail network such as MySpace, Facebook, or Beliefnet. That friend happens to mention what you do for a living. And you, proud home Internet business owner that you are, start telling this person about all your products and services.
 
That friend you talk to then starts using your products and services (assuming your online friend does). If your friend thinks your services are great, then your friend will refer you to other friends who may also think your services are great.
 
It's like a domino effect. Soon everyone knows about you and you didn't even have to pay huge advertisement campaign fees.
 
Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Networking
Social networking as a form of free advertising has its advantages and disadvantages. The obvious advantage has been described already-exposure of your products, services and/or company at little to no cost.
 
Another advantage is that you get to know new people and make great new friends. It is a more personal way of doing business and it helps newer businesses establish a trust and report with those they deal with.
 
The only primary disadvantage is that social networking can be quite time consuming. Not only do you do your regular work but you have to post at various forums and blogs. However, there are different types of software that can make this type of work easier for you.
 
Also, you must be careful when you are involved in social networking. You do not want to be accused of spam. It is a good idea to make each message that you post as unique as possible.
 
Also, make sure that you post messages on boards that are relevant to this topic. This would be the first thing other readers and webmasters will see-whether or not you are there for the people or for yourself.
 
Prove to the people at social networking sites that you are there for them-not just to make money. This is the best way to reach them.

Networking Marketing

Because distributors hope to make a significant portion of their income by bringing in other distributors, you may not have to look for a network marketing company. One may be looking for you. A relative, friend or even a stranger may approach you and ask you to become a distributor.
If the idea of becoming a distributor appeals to you and you haven't been recruited, there are lots of ways to find the right match for you. Look in your local phone book for distributors in your area. You'll find companies selling things like vitamins, beauty supplies, artwork, toys, cleaning products and even financial services.
 
Also check out opportunities through the Internet. Unlike franchises and business opportunities, network marketing isn't given protections. For example, there's no Uniform Franchise Offering circular requirement for network marketing companies for fast and easy ways to make money. So it's up to you to do your own investigating. If you look into a particular company's claim and it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true.
 
Watch out for claims like that the company promises you the financial moon or guaranteed profits. Watch out when the company requires you to pay an up-front fee that greatly exceeds the value of the profits, kits, and any training given in return. Watch out when the company makes claims that high income is easy to achieve and that there are fast and easy ways to make money. And watch out when you're pressured into signing up as a distributor.
 
Understand what you're agreeing to if you sign on as a distributor. Know that no member company of the association shall engage in any deceptive, unlawful or unethical consumer or recruiting practice. Know that pyramid or endless chain schemes shall constitute a violation of the code. Know that the company will repurchase on reasonable commercial terms currently marketable inventory in the possession of that salesperson. And understand that no member company shall misrepresent the actual or potential sales or earnings of its independent salespeople. Any earnings or sales representations shall be based on documented facts not fast and easy ways to make money.
 
You can use the internet as much or as little as you need for your business. You may use it exclusively as the core of your business or you may use it only as a way to advertise a non-web-based business.
 
While home-based businesses have been around for as long as there have been homes, it's only in the last few years that there's an avenue to make such businesses really take off through the internet.
 
But just because it's out there doesn't mean you must become another online business owner. Maybe you'd be better able or happier to run a traditional business, using the Internet as an aid to that business. To a certain extent, e-commerce requires you to become a computer nerd. You have to understand the terminology and operate the equipment. Even more important, you have to enjoy the solitary aspects of an online business, since you'll be spending a lot of time at it.

It would seem that everyone and their mother has a fast and easy money plan for you to participate in. While most of them are a bunch of hooey, there are some places you can go to learn about specific things which will help you to increase your bottom line in an expeditious fashion. There are some things which you should be wary of if you are intending on pursuing these fast and easy money plans.  Just so long as you are cognizant of what you are giving out to these strangers and you are conservative with your judgment, you may be able to see some kind of an up-tick in your bottom line before too long.
 
First of all, the myth behind fast and easy money is something which deserves much scrutiny.  The fact is that there are not too many people out there giving money away for no reason and the ones that are usually have some kind of reason down deep.  So you should always be careful about taking free money or going to a place where you are told you are going to get free money for nothing because free money for nothing is not a real thing.
 
When you are visiting these places, such as the website, you need to be wary of any info given out to these people.  Giving out personal information like your mother's maiden name, your e-mail address, your bank account number, or your credit card pin number are all foolish things to do.  Any combination of these are different and all adds up to the same thing so you should watch out about what you give out where and how often you give it out. In general, there are a few things which you probably should withhold; your social security number, bank account number, or the three small digits on the back of your credit card, which can all be used to identify you as a person by someone who is not you.
 
If you are looking for the fast and easy money you have more likely than not landed smack dab in the middle of some scheme. You should scour the chats, message boards, and go further in investigating a company who is said to just give away money. Do a search engine search and see what you come up with; if there were such a company you are probably either the first one to discover them or they are not really all that they say that they are. Read the fine print; investigate as best you can; because landing in a scam from some fast and easy money search is a bad way to end your day.
 
There are a number of ways to get some fast and easy money for yourself but you probably need to put it a little bit of your own money and do some work.  Once you get the ball rolling though there are a number of ways in which you can make some money without too much effort, through time.
